Buying expired domain is a big business. If you can get hold of some 3-4-5 character nice names you can sell them in 4 or 5 figures :P

I dont think domains are as important as people make them out to be – what is the main business idea and niche? Whats your monetization models? there are many more important questions than what your domain is

i sometimes Buy expired domains, it all depends on the domain name if its brandable or keyword rich i would buy it,But that sometimes only benefits not all the time its a win win situation.

I sometimes buy expired names but only when they become available. I am too cheap to pay extra for backordering, even though there are some gems in there. Back when PR was really important, you could find dropped PR3 and PR4 domains all day long and flip them quickly before the next update when they lost their PR.

I don’t buy expired domains often, but I do subscribe to keyword based watch lists. My keywords, for example, are similar to existing domain names I already own. Also new markets I wish to enter. Always on the lookout for a good domain name.
