They ruined the NetIdentity name with their trashing of people's accounts, forcing them to rebrand themselves with a new name. Do not give them any money.

Stay away from this company. I started with Net Identity in 98 - which became domain direct ... so on until Hover. So far hover's up time is more reliable than any previous host, but the price is higher also. They had some ticket response issues for a short while but seem to be cought up and on track.
When they became hover, the web space is now hosted by Hostopia. Hopefully the'll be better than godaddy.
One thing to mention: their account management interface has been over-simplified, it's difficult to find what you ar looking for in the mystery meat navigation.
They do offer coupon codes, and a google search will give you a result for at least 10% off.

Hover is a service of Tucows. Got moved to Hover ... they are AWFUL. They will auto-renew any domain names associated with your accounts. They used a credit card of mine to renew an account for a business domain - I complained to customer service and they told me to shut up or they'd shut my account off.
I had other plans for this evening, but instead I'm transferring domains.

I was with Domain Direct and was happy with them. Almost immediately their email service went in the toilet - multiple, lengthy (days) downs. Then they turned into Hover and customer service access was reduced to Mon through Fri. - average on-hold time = 45 mins BUT with calming classical music. Smart, considering what they are doing to their customers.
If you could get to user forums you would see entries like
"I opened a ticket for help about a month ago, nobody has bothered to contact me... "
"So what happens if loose my domain because I cannot get customer service?"
"No response to tickets ..."
I was so frustrated with their downtime I moved my email / MX records to Google Apps basic. When it came time to renew my domain, Hover also wanted to ding me for email hosting in spite of the fact that all DNS records clearly pointed at Google.
I don't think they are doing this stuff intentionally, they are simply trying to grow too quickly without the proper checks, balances and support in place.
There is no reason to do business with these clowns apart from a basic domain registration and I would suggest you avoid them for that too.
If you are doing a domain + email hosting, for sure go elsewhere for the email. Start by pointing your MX records for email. Google Apps basic (free) has been working just fine and our email performance has been consistent since I moved away from Hover.

I started with these guys when they were Tucows / Domain Direct to reg a domain and host email.
