22 Year Old Sells His 2 Year Old Blog For $15 Million
Johns Wu, 22, is one happy blogger today. He has sold his 2 year old banking blog, Bankaholic.com for $12.4 million to Bankrate.
They have agreed to pay Johns an additional $2.5 million if the site performs well over the next 12 months.
This sale is indeed confirmed by an official press release from Bankrate, Inc. (Nasdaq: RATE). Better yet, Johns answers some great interview questions about the sale in an article found on WebProNews here.

This is quite an inspiring story for all of us bloggers and web developers. By working hard at developing quality consistent content and driving traffic for just 2 years this guy is set for life. Congratulations Johns!
Alexa.com statistics for Bankaholic are quite impressive. Currently sitting at an excellent ranking of 41,904 which means it is getting alot of traffic daily. Being in the banking niche, I am sure Bankaholic benefits well from that traffic by referring visitors to affiliated savings accounts, credit card offers, and through top-dollar AdSense revenue.

That’s really impressive. It would be interesting to see his stats and earnings. His Alexa is good, but isn’t out of reach for many bloggers.

Extremely impressive it sure is. I’d be very interested to know how many times the $12.4 million is in Bankaholic’s yearly earnings.
