After making a few domain sales yesterday and this morning I was surprised to see GoDaddy had updated the domain ownership transfer process to make it more simple and secure.
Instead of having to ask the new owner their mailing address, phone number and other private contact information, you simply need to have them provide you their account name and email address.
This change will provide peace of mind and save time for both parties.
As one of the largest domain name registrars, many hundreds if not thousands of domain names change hands through GoDaddy accounts.
The domain ownership transfer process is painless and free and almost everybody has a GoDaddy account, which is why they are my registrar of choice as a domainer.
