CNBC reports on the sale of iPhone.com domain name in the last few seconds of a video report on component stocks and who is cashing in on Apple’s iPhone. The domain iPhone.com was registered in 1995 by Michael Kovatch.
Kovatch sincerely wanted to develop a business using this name, so he held out to the last minute before the official launch of the iPhone before giving in.
