105 Web Apps for Everything You Could Possibly Need

Be sure to check out our other list of 105 Resources for Web Developers!

Today, Yoav Ezer, CTO of Cogniview has published an excellent listing of “100 web apps for everything you will possibly need.” I can personally vouch for a large chunk of these web apps, some I use multiple times daily. The theme of this great web apps list is business oriented, though, individuals, developers, bloggers, designers, freelancers and geeks in general will prize these valuable resources. Increasing productivity, saving time and having a bit of fun with your work online is the name of the game.

I am adding my 5 recommended contributions to the list of kick ass web applications…

  • StumbleUpon - Channel surf the internet with the StumbleUpon toolbar to find great websites, videos, photos and more based on your interests. StumbleUpon learns what you like and makes better recommendations. StumbleUpon is also a great way to drive traffic to your website and network with others.

  • SnapShots - As you probably have noticed on this site, I am using SnapShots, a light weight Javascript tool that allows visitors to take a quick glance at external links before clicking on them. It is a great efficiency tool, saving time for your readers.

  • BlinkSale - the easiest way to send invoices online. BlinkSale features several stylish CSS designed layouts and a simplistic interface. No monthly subscriptions, you only pay a small fee for invoices you use!

  • VIRB° - An emerging social network for mature adults. Some of my favorite features include beautiful CSS styling options, great “Groups” interface, RSS feed import and custom profile widgets. VIRB° is a great escape from the dreaded MySpace.

  • MyBlogLog - Connect with your readers by creating a community for your website or blog. View great statistics on referrers, page views and what people click. Once you sign up, please join the DotSauce Community!

That’s my list and I’m sticking to it! Do be sure to check out the original list for 100 more great web applications.

This is like the Web 2.0 meme . It’s a bit surprising how 99% of people use the same 5-10 applications, despite the hundreds of them out there.

  2. Mike Says:

I would add BlogCatalog. MyBlogLog is more popular right now, but I really like that BlogCatalog has a categorized list of blogs, plus topic based discussions - Mike (http://www.blogcatalog.com/)

I would recommend you add Blog Catalog to the list too. I’ve never heard of VIRB.. it looks good, thanks for recommending it!
