WebThumb – Website Thumbnail Generator

Posted on April 22, 2007 in: Tools & Resources, Web Design, Web Development

website thumbnail generator

This thumbnail image of my homepage was generated using ‘WebThumb‘ a fairly new AJAX powered website thumbnail generator. You simply type in the URL of any web address you want to capture, select the screen resolution size and Web Thumb generates 4 JPG images varying in size from small to large (medium size displayed above).

Web Thumb also provides the option to download all 4 images packed in a .zip archive. The script took about 15 seconds to process on a high speed cable connection.

WebThumb was developed by Joshua Eichorn, who has written the book “Understanding AJAX.”
